Our first reading plan for Inhale:Exhale:Repeat is The Cross: A Lenten Journey Through the Gospels.
Our reading takes us through the 6 weeks of Lent. It is a time to take out your own Bible, carve out a daily time in your day, and read the accounts from the time the high priests plot to kill Jesus, through His death on the cross, to His Resurrection and Ascension.
You will be impacted as you read the accounts – underlining key verses, circling stand-out truths, adding question marks to the phrases you are pondering, and exclamation marks to revelations.
You will experience your own walk to Emmaus.
After Jesus’ resurrection he joined two of his followers as they walked the seven miles from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize him, but as they traveled time sped by as Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27) Later, after Jesus disappeared the moment they recognized him, they described the burning in their hearts as he talked with them and brought revelation of the Word.
I am praying that your heart “burns” as the Holy Spirit opens your mind to understand the Word of God in a greater way.
There is no book to purchase. All documents and study guides are FREE for you to print. Find a folder or a three-ring binder and create your own notebook. (Or have it spiral bound at Office Max like I did!)
Comments from 2018 participants:
- I loved the reading plan. I was moved deep in my spirit as I read how Jesus gave Himself up for me. Such love!
- I’m really glad I did this reading plan. I learned a lot, and I am excited to learn more. It’s so nice to sit quietly each morning studying. Some days I didn’t get it. “What did I miss?” Then it sometimes came to me later in the day or maybe not till the next days reading. I liked learning in small portions.
- The Cross reading plan certainly revolutionized my Easter experience. Thank you!!!

I would love to hear back from you. Would you take a few minutes and complete this survey for me?
