Isn’t this the sweetest picture of my in-laws reading the Bible out in the porch in the morning before work?
I know what some of you may be thinking. You’ll wait till you are in your 70’s and then you can take your time and do the same.
NO! Read your Bible now. God has amazing things to show you in His Word. And the promise is that you will grow, mature, become strong, and flourish. (Psalm 1:2-3, 92:12-14)
I have been working on a new project for the past couple of months that I will release in the next two weeks. And I want to share it with you. It’s called – Inhale.Exhale.Repeat. Daily Centering My Life on God Through His Word.
Three things matter: The daily inhale of God’s Word and Presence, the exhale of a transformed life, and the repeated discipline of a submitted heart to God.
This is all about reading the Bible – yourself – and listening to the Holy Spirit to teach you.
Let’s do this together.
You can join the Inhale.Exhale.Repeat community by joining the Facebook Group. Go to your facebook page and then search for this group. You will see some posts by me. Click the JOIN tab under the cover picture.
We will read through the Bible together.
No membership. No books to buy. No report card due to see if you are keeping up to speed. Just love and encouragement from me and others in the community.
Coming Soon! The Cross: A Lenten Journey through the Gospels.
Our 1st Study is reading through the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ walk from the Cross to His Ascension.

Being honest. . . It has been ages since I have read through the accounts of Jesus’ last days on earth. I usually grab a Lenten devotional already prepared for me and I quickly skim through the verse and text and fulfill my “Lent duty”. But nothing has impacted me like actually reading the narrative in my own Bible – underlining the key verses, circling stand-out truths, and adding question marks to some things I am pondering.
I truly have experienced a walk to Emmaus.
After Jesus’ resurrection he joined two of his followers as they walked the seven miles from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize him, but as they traveled time sped by as Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27) Later, after Jesus disappeared the moment they recognized him, they described the burning in their hearts as he talked with them and brought revelation of the Word.
Don’t you wish you could listen in to Jesus’ explanation of the Old Testament and every verse that points to him?
Then as the two followers are telling their story to the disciples, Jesus suddenly appears in the room. The whole group is startled, but Jesus reassures them of who he is and opens their minds to understand the Scriptures. (Luke 24:45)
Wouldn’t you love to have Jesus open your mind to understand the Word of God?
Before his death Jesus taught his disciples about the Holy Spirit. He was leaving them, but the Holy Spirit was coming in his place. The Father is sending another Advocate (Comforter) who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit who leads into all truth. (John 14:17)
The Holy Spirit is ready to lead you – yes you – into all truth. Oh, you know the story; but join us and watch the Scriptures come alive in you again and feel your heart burn with revelation.
